Steve came up through the ranks, starting his career with Rex Moore in 1991 as a warehouse tool supervisor. His penchant for detail was discovered, and soon afterwards he was promoted to the position of purchasing agent. In 1997 Steve advanced again into the role of Project Engineer, then Project Manager, becoming one of Rex Moore’s most sought after PM's.
Healthcare became Steve’s primary focus in his role as project manager. His expert project management skills and passion for detail helped Rex Moore to thrive in the highly specialized healthcare market. He has successfully completed numerous medical facility projects, including the Sutter Medical Center in Santa Rosa, UC Davis Telemedicine Resource Center, and the Mercy Folsom Hospital Expansion.
Steve is a prime example of why Rex Moore excels in collaboration with its trade partners. After completion of the Sutter Roseville Medical Offices, he was unanimously requested by the General Contractor and the Architect to manage multiple other Sutter Health projects, including the Sutter Solano MOB/ACC Center. Way to go, Steve!
Steve holds professional certifications in both Project Management and Construction Management. He also is trained in Lean Principles, Last Planner Implementation, Visual Management, collaboration with trade partners, and kitting for JIT to eliminate waste.
Juggling so many projects, resource and staffing details on a daily basis, one wonders what Steve does to unwind. Enjoying family comes first, then you might see the marshal on a local golf course chasing after him for slow play. Steve also enjoys watching movies on movie night. Now that sounds relaxing!
