Jason Blum is President of Rex Moore Group, Inc., assuming that role in 2017 from former President David R. Moore. Jason is a hands-on manager who loves building and maintaining client relationships. Integrity and authenticity are characteristics fully embraced by Jason and his staff as they pursue strong long term relationships with clients and the local community.
Jason joined Rex Moore in July 2003, and was promoted to Vice President in 2016. He is a key member of the Management Team that guides the overall strategic direction of the company. In his current role, Jason is heavily focused on the design aspect of projects while supporting management team members responsible for the sales, operations and integrated systems functions at Rex Moore. He was formerly Engineering Director and led the engineering team on complex projects and, for four years prior to that, Jason served as the Sierra Nevada Branch Manager in Reno.
As a degreed electrical engineer and LEED AP ®, Jason is accustomed to running with the best and brightest. He has been involved with is a very diverse, never-ending list of construction projects, including commercial, industrial, renewable energy, heavy industrial, multi-family residential, institutional, hotels, low and high-rise office buildings, casino, resort, warehouses and shopping centers, to name a few.
Prior to joining Rex Moore, Jason accumulated over fifteen years experience in electrical consulting, marketing, management, estimating, engineering and design/build experience. He held numerous managerial positions for large complex projects, including regional manager, sales, business development, on-site project manager, lead design engineer and project engineer.
Jason received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University, and his M.B.A. from the University of California at Davis. He is former President of the ABC Northern Nevada Chapter Apprenticeship Trust Board and is an active member in other charitable associations.
When it comes to college football and other sporting events, Jason remains true to his LSU roots. He is the proud father of five boys, you might say a basketball team in the making, and he enjoys spending time with his wife and family. He also loves Cajun/Creole cooking. Some of Jason's other interests include spending time at the beach, mountains, and his boys' sporting events.
